You're so proud of yourself, you thought an outcome would happen, and it did. You're a genius you've predicted it, now you're going to be telling everybody you were right because you are sure you've got psychic powers. On the other hand, have you ever wanted something so badly, only to be crushed by it not happening?
As you can see thoughts can go in two totally different directions. Why is it that when faced with different situations in life we often trust the negatives that come popping in our head. Thoughts that can be so horrific, we panic, we pace back and forth then have 100% relief once everything is alright. As you can see trusting your thoughts is not always the most intelligent thing to do.
Do you think sometimes we should learn to disassociate from our thoughts? I've just gotten finished reading and putting into practice this method. We have thinking which is normal, but whats not normal is becoming a slave to our thoughts. Our thinking should be used as a tool, and we shouldn't be the tool. We no longer need to worry about what happened in the past, nor what could happen in the future. We prepare for it by not allowing our fearful thoughts to be the guide for what may lie ahead. Remember you create your future, bumps in the road come and go but it's how well we deal with them at that moment.
Does the following way of thinking sound familiar?
Past thinking
In this way of thinking you believe that what has happened to you in the past will definitely happen the exact same way it will happen in the future. This fear and negativity grip you and keep you in fear.
Future thinking
Looking to the future you believe what will happen to you is negative. Only the worst can happen in every situation. The only way something good could come from a situation is by taking the difficult routes in life, and there will be no way for you to achieve this.
Your mind will automatically go towards these thoughts it's a given, it's what you do with those thoughts that will make you a winner. Learn to think in the moment, clearing your mind of every thought and being able to use your 5 senses around you to guide you along. Then come to the realization that there are thousands of fantastic things going on around you at the moment, you've just been taking them for granted.
Here is your solution to bad thinking. Be aware that your thoughts are making you feel uneasy, jealous, fearful and even making you irrational, and those thoughts when you come right down to it have no hard facts behind them other than just being your perception of the world around you.
Action steps:
1. When a negative emotion takes over, be an observer. Notice why you are feeling uneasy, and by becoming present in the moment it helps to fade away the negative feeling.
2. Take the time daily to notice things around you that you may be taking for granted. Family, the world outside, and even conversations you are able to have with people. Remember some individuals don't always have the simple things you enjoy daily.
3. Enjoy the 5 senses you have, sight, taste, touch, sound and smell.
As spiritual and odd as all this sounds it really helps you in your professional and personal life.
Stay motivated
